Trees and marsupials on Tasmania March 9

Our bus driver’s name today was Darren. As bus drivers go, funny guy; none of his jokes were quite as funny as when he accidentally backed into the ditch. No worries, we left the bus and did a wander to Russell Falls and the Tall Trees. Lots of tall trees – flowering Arbutus that stood around 300 feet. Probably as tall or taller than the trees in Cathedral Grove on Vancouver Island. Long day wandering, so short story today. I’ll leave you with pix of Rick, Karla and Fern, a wombat and two echidnas. By the way, Darren found a farmer with a tractor to pull him out. Not sure who Darren is working for tomorrow.
